Positioned as the brand’s third electric offering after the iQube, the Orbiter is designed to appeal to city riders who want a balance of style, performance, and practicality—without breaking the bank.

A Scooter for the City and the Family

The first thing you notice about the Orbiter is its styling. It doesn’t scream “futuristic concept,” but it isn’t plain either. The front fascia sports a large LED headlamp with a neat DRL setup, a moderately tall windscreen, and sculpted body panels that add some road presence. TVS seems to have taken a middle path here—something young riders will find trendy but also comfortable enough for a family ride.

Charging details are still a bit sketchy. TVS hasn’t revealed the official fast-charging numbers yet, but considering the competition, we can expect at least decent turnaround times. What’s interesting is that despite being budget-friendly, the Orbiter isn’t stripped down. Instead, it comes loaded with cruise control, hill-hold assist, reverse parking assist, Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster, USB charging, and even OTA updates.

How It Stacks Against Rivals

In terms of price and positioning, the Orbiter takes on the Ather Rizta, Ola S1X (3kWh), and even TVS’s own iQube base variant. While the Ather scores high on performance and connected tech, its starting price is higher. Ola’s S1X is close in pricing, but the Orbiter seems to offer a slightly better feature-to-price balance.

The fact that TVS is an established player with a wide dealer network also gives buyers confidence—after all, service and spares matter as much as specs when you’re putting money into a new EV.

At ₹99,900 (ex-showroom), the Orbiter has been priced cleverly. It just slips under the ₹1 lakh bracket, making it more accessible to middle-class buyers. Bookings are already open online, and deliveries are likely to begin in a phased manner soon.
